An unexpectedly hard shot by Gartzen Docio in the 17th minute of play forced Mendoza's goalkeeper Ariel Mathey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gartzen Docio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Palmitas's Gian-Carlo Ahelle got control of the ball when Basajaun Urrea tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Gartzen Docio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palmitas were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Mendoza to leave the ground with a draw.
