Santi Peñalba charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santi Peñalba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Valdense FC's Naike Bildosteguy got his second yellow card of the match in the 34th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vedillo Cigüenza couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valdense FC's goalkeeper Mario Lazaeta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Lugo Contreras made a precise shot to the right of Mario Lazaeta. Valdense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Zeru Herrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inge Freire hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Lugo Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbache F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lugo Contreras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manni Fontecavada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mane Taboada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
