In the 27th minute Leoiar Roda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barto Fontao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montevideo AFC's Barto Fontao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basajaun Urrea in the 32nd minute of play. Basajaun Urrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 44 minutes, Pero Ibio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pero Ibio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barto Fontao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mendoza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harkaitz Gambo in the 66th minute. Orland Bonechea thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Barto Fontao, a very annoying self made goal in the 66th minute which led to 2-3. After having played for 80 minutes, Basajaun Urrea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mendoza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basajaun Urrea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Montevideo AFC's Barto Fontao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo AFC from getting a goal against them. Leoiar Roda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barto Fontao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. If Basajaun Urrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montevideo AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leoiar Roda 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-5. Leoiar Roda scored 2-6 in the 100th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barto Fontao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
