But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herminio Berguño couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Benjamín La Motte notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Linlin AFC's Rollo Las Casas. Rollo Las Casas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adriano Eguiguren charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 39thth minute of the game Eder Reole who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Combarabala FC's Modesto Urbistondo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herminio Berguño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Gilesindo Ahonzo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Combarabala FC's Modesto Urbistondo didn't even have to move. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Herminio Berguño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eder Reole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamín La Motte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aurelio Fell fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linlin AFC's protests and gave Aurelio Fell a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Linlin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Fell. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eder Reole got free with Modesto Urbistondo in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eder Reole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Modesto Urbistondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Combarabala FC's zone, Herminio Berguño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Urbistondo came out of the goal and Herminio Berguño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eder Reole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herminio Berguño in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Modesto Urbistondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eder Reole fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Urbistondo having to interfere.
