After 3 played minutes Club Azul got a freekick which was hit by Ondino Maino. The referee felt a red card was in order, 6 minutes into the game, when Rafael Vos de Vos put in a rough tackle. Rafael Vos de Vos hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Alcantara AFC's Enrique Urra broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Club Azul's Jose Nikola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Brown in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ondino Maino in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Velasco Patterson saved Alcantara AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Brown in the 18th minute of play forced Club Azul's goalkeeper Jose Nikola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Azul booed when Alcantara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairon Cea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ondino Maino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Velasco Patterson made a huge save. After 25 played minutes Alcantara AFC got a freekick which was hit by Roy Brown. Jose Nikola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon María Frias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Nikola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Romero in the 29th minute of the match. Alcantara AFC's Velasco Patterson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvino Moreno in the 30th minute of play. Velasco Patterson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ondino Maino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Alvino Moreno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcantara AFC the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Club Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvino Moreno to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Danél Valdés made a precise shot to the right of Jose Nikola. Club Azul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Velasco Patterson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ondino Maino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Club Azul players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alcantara AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ondino Maino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Club Azul getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ondino Maino hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alcantara AFC's Ramon María Frias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jose Nikola. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. The supporters of Alcantara AFC booed when Club Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Javier Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 63 played minutes Alcantara AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Mancilla. Velasco Patterson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvino Moreno in the 65th minute of the match. Enrique Urra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Caicedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Danél Valdés got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Azul's zone, Roy Brown stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Nikola came out of the goal and Roy Brown tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 76 minutes, Danél Valdés mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alcantara AFC and the Club Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Danél Valdés hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 minutes of play, Club Azul's Luis Javier Paz made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Velasco Patterson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute Ondino Maino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velasco Patterson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Loreto Seco fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Azul's protests and gave Loreto Seco a yellow card for diving instead. Alcantara AFC's Enrique Urra got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute of the match Flavinho Guedes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Velasco Patterson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Velasco Patterson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ondino Maino in the 94th minute of the match. César Caicedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jose Nikola having to make a save. The Club Azul fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alcantara AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
