The Marchan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celedonio Mouat should have stopped the shot. Christian Beltrán could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jose Nikola made a huge save. 32 minutes into the match, Gaston Inostroza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Nikola. Club Azul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Inostroza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Celedonio Mouat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ondino Maino went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Christian Beltrán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Nikola having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Beltrán got free with Jose Nikola in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Nikola made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Christian Beltrán sent off a good shot on target. Celedonio Mouat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ondino Maino, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.
