Constantino Marull started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Pau Fath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palquin AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pau Fath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alexandre Demartis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Demartis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcís Latapiat having to interfere. Narcís Latapiat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Demartis's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. The supporters of Palquin AFC booed when Monterrey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Macuer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Monterrey defense, Pau Fath kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narcís Latapiat. The Monterrey fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narcís Latapiat should have stopped the shot. Palquin AFC's Alexandre Demartis got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Demartis in the 21st minute of play forced Monterrey's goalkeeper Narcís Latapiat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Pau Fath managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palquin AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pau Fath was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narcís Latapiat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantino Marull hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Narcís Latapiat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pau Fath in the 26th minute of play. Ariel Pruniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavián Ackermann having to interfere. Narcís Latapiat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pau Fath, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Narcís Latapiat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Demartis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pau Fath in the 34th minute of play forced Monterrey's goalkeeper Narcís Latapiat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Pau Fath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 37th minute, Pau Fath got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundo Galván sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monterrey's goalkeeper Narcís Latapiat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Monterrey players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palquin AFC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pau Fath made a kick off. Pau Fath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Palquin AFC's Pau Fath slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Narcís Latapiat. That made the score 0-2 after 58 minutes of play. Alexandre Demartis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, Alexandre Demartis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Narcís Latapiat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alexandre Demartis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcís Latapiat having to interfere. Alexandre Demartis struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Narcís Latapiat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palquin AFC. In the 86th minute, Pau Fath got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Monterrey's zone, Alexandre Demartis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narcís Latapiat came out of the goal and Alexandre Demartis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ariel Pruniel fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monterrey's protests and gave Ariel Pruniel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Monterrey getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ariel Pruniel hit a great ball. Palquin AFC played a much better game than Monterrey and deserved their victory. The Monterrey players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
