A beautiful save bye Monterrey's goalie prevented a goal. Monterrey's Narcís Latapiat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mercé La Motte in the 9th minute of play. Narcís Latapiat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mercé La Motte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Monterrey's goal looked a bit too open when Mercé La Motte came free, but Narcís Latapiat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huite FC's Mercé La Motte got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximiliano Ondegardo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 19 minutes Monterrey's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Josías Granados who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Huite FC's Rufino Delpín getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Ariel Pruniel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monterrey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huite FC the free kick. The supporters of Huite FC booed when Monterrey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Pruniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narcís Latapiat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Carreño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narcís Latapiat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mercé La Motte in the 28th minute of the match. Baldomero Carreño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Monterrey's goal looked a bit too open when Mercé La Motte came free, but Narcís Latapiat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huite FC's Baltazar Santelices got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Baldomero Carreño came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Huite FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Carreño couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the game, Baldomero Carreño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Narcís Latapiat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute, Oliverio Carrasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narcís Latapiat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mercé La Motte in the 46th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Monterrey got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Marull. In the 50th minute Huite FC were awarded a corner. Josías Granados went to the cornerflag to take it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantino Marull to strike the kick off in the second half. Huite FC's Inocente Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Marull in the 59th minute of play. Narcís Latapiat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mercé La Motte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narcís Latapiat was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Mercé La Motte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mercé La Motte really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 74th minute of the match, Baldomero Carreño got a very nice opportunity to score, but Narcís Latapiat was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 81st minute of the match, Mercé La Motte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Narcís Latapiat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 85 minutes into the game, Constantino Marull was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mercé La Motte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mercé La Motte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcís Latapiat having to interfere. Narcís Latapiat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liberto Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The Monterrey fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Huite FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
