Teofilio Poisson made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Zenón Azoca sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Devoto was the one to do the kick off. In the 73rd match minute, Ancocatani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Firmín Albornoz to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Washimingos's Adriano Devoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilio Poisson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zenón Azoca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilio Poisson having to interfere. Rutenio Farne charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Devoto in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teofilio Poisson saved Ancocatani from getting behind. Zenón Azoca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Washimingos getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tanio Caszely hit a great ball. Washimingos's Roldán Pantoja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelio Vivanco in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ancocatani had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
