Alfonso Redondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eufemio Sartie in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Isamit cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Savier Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Savier Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Hamdorf in the 29th minute of the match. If Andoni Pakozdy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Franco Hamdorf managed to get in a good position for a shot. los tilines's supporters rose to their feet, but Franco Hamdorf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Savier Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Savier Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Hamdorf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes of play, los tilines's Reynaldo Isamit made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Savier Velasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Espijia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Regino Christie scored to the left of an out of position Savier Velasco, making the score, 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franco Hamdorf made a kick off. Fulco Ferraro kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. los tilines's Andoni Pakozdy got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Regino Christie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Savier Velasco having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Espijia's zone, Reynaldo Isamit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Savier Velasco came out of the goal and Reynaldo Isamit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Reynaldo Isamit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 78 minutes into the game, Jacindo Reinoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espijia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave los tilines the free kick. A collision led to Espijia getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jacindo Reinoso hit a great ball. Savier Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Isamit in the 80th minute of play. If Regino Christie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd match minute, Espijia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remi Quiñones to maneuver through the defense. When los tilines's Franco Hamdorf in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a left leg Savier Velasco saved Espijia from getting behind. When Remi Quiñones was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. In the 94th minute, Remi Quiñones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Andoni Pakozdy came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the los tilines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andoni Pakozdy couldn't finish the play.
