Ujina's Eulalio Garzón got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Audax Italiano's Clemente Bacheler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Garzón in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Josué Alegría notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ujina's Miguel Ardura. Miguel Ardura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the game, one of Ujina:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ujina:s Miguel Ardura showed great skill when he stopped Aníbal Villalba:s penalty. Clemente Bacheler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Garzón, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Poqué in the 38th minute of play forced Ujina's goalkeeper Miguel Ardura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chants of Audax Italiano echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ujina had held the ball for most of the match.
