But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Alberto Guardia couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Angelillo Aravena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Pacumina's Juan Van Diest broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 33 minutes into the game, Mario Alberto Guardia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jeronimo Legrand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Pacumina's Carlos Alberto Aburto got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pacumina's zone, Xaiver Buchanan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristofer Didier came out of the goal and Xaiver Buchanan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Pacumina getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Christian Evans hit a great ball. Cristofer Didier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinos Urquieta went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 76 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Aburto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeronimo Legrand. Ciruelos AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Alberto Aburto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Pacumina's Carlos Alberto Aburto got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pacumina had won after a very even match.
