The supporters of Ariel FC booed when Los Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Despouy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baudelio Aragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Vicente Carnevalli, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Baudelio Aragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rollo Artaño in the 20th minute of play. Brian Martin scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fidel Lataste, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th match minute, Los Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúlo Oyanedel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martino Otaola in the 30th minute of play forced Los Leones FC's goalkeeper Fidel Lataste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baudelio Aragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eber Bolivar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baudelio Aragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Vicente Carnevalli in the 45th minute of the match. When Eber Bolivar came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Los Leones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eber Bolivar couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martino Otaola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Jorge Vicente Carnevalli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baudelio Aragón was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Baudelio Aragón was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Jorge Vicente Carnevalli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. In the 66th minute, Los Leones FC's Jorge Vicente Carnevalli ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baudelio Aragón. Baudelio Aragón yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. 72 minutes into the game, Eber Bolivar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Baudelio Aragón. Eber Bolivar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Vicente Carnevalli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baudelio Aragón. That made the score 1-9 in the 82 minute of play. Rodolfo Velarde kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Fidel Lataste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martino Otaola in the 89th minute of the match. If Gregorio Chamorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Los Leones FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ariel FC throughout the match.
