Eugenio Pulido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Duro in the 4th minute of play. Victorino Gorbea scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Pulido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. U de Chile F.C.'s Eugenio Pulido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abuzer Gündoğan in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the U de Chile F.C. defense, Victorino Gorbea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Pulido. The U de Chile F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Pulido should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Choros FC booed when U de Chile F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elías Valenzuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Pulido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorino Gorbea went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 33rd match minute, U de Chile F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocente Lasa to maneuver through the defense. Choros FC's Txomin Mellado got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Israel Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, one of U de Chile F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henrico Bettini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Choros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Duro to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, U de Chile F.C.'s Eugenio Pulido got control of the ball when Victorino Gorbea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorino Gorbea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eugenio Pulido came out and tried to block the shot, but Victorino Gorbea slotted it home off the left post making it 0-13 in the 92nd minute. Choros FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
