Spectators: 7339 (Terracing: 5506, Seating: 1688, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Florencio Palau took the kick off in the first half of the match. Calixto Dechent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnín De la Sotta in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 8 minutes, Saturnín De la Sotta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niquela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnín De la Sotta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Florencio Palau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calixto Dechent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnín De la Sotta in the 11th minute of play. Madeo Unger struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Maxín Binder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El ChunCho. With a little luck, Niquela's Maxín Binder got control of the ball when Madeo Unger tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute Florencio Palau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calixto Dechent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eber Mercado's late challenge caught a El ChunCho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eber Mercado helped the player get up and apologised. 33 minutes into the game, Niquela's Saturnín De la Sotta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Calixto Dechent made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Saturnín De la Sotta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calixto Dechent having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in El ChunCho's zone, Florencio Palau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calixto Dechent came out of the goal and Florencio Palau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Niquela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 55 played minutes Niquela got a freekick which was hit by Juan Estevan Adriazola. El ChunCho's Madeo Unger got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 played minutes Niquela got a freekick which was hit by Romano Marzi. 61 minutes into the match, El ChunCho's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Palau came free, but Calixto Dechent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Romano Marzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niquela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El ChunCho the free kick. Romano Marzi kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Gabriel Valdebenito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxín Binder having to interfere. Calixto Dechent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Palau in the 70th minute of play. Calixto Dechent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Palau, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. A collision led to El ChunCho getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Albert Dijk hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florencio Palau in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calixto Dechent saved El ChunCho from getting behind.
