Jeraldo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Mannhardt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Mannhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeraldo Delgado having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Christian Mannhardt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeraldo Delgado was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alico's goalkeeper Jeraldo Delgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franco Morel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Christian Mannhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeraldo Delgado having to interfere. In the 78th minute Manuel Klickmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Morel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Sebastián Arata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeraldo Delgado. Alico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastián Arata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Jeraldo Delgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastián Arata in the 91st minute. When Marín Argo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Alico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marín Argo couldn't finish the play. Hernán Pasten's late challenge caught a Alico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
