With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Basaure in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Manuel Moreau saved Higuerita from getting behind. Zavier Lecaroz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Desiderio Basaure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Desiderio Basaure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jose Manuel Moreau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cresenciano Martínez Lamas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cresenciano Martínez Lamas scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Manuel Moreau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 19 played minutes Higuerita got a freekick which was hit by Leovigildo Bühler. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Basaure in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Manuel Moreau saved Higuerita from getting behind. Desiderio Basaure might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Manuel Moreau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Desiderio Basaure ran back to his position shaking his head. Jose Manuel Moreau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cresenciano Martínez Lamas, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Leovigildo Bühler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurilio Mateluna having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Leovigildo Bühler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Higuerita and the Morichal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leovigildo Bühler kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Morichal FC's Desiderio Basaure got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jose Manuel Moreau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Basaure in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Morichal FC's Desiderio Basaure made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jose Manuel Moreau was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Desiderio Basaure made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Morichal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Urrejola to maneuver through the defense. Morichal FC's Maurilio Mateluna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Porter in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute, Morichal FC's Desiderio Basaure ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jose Manuel Moreau. Jose Manuel Moreau yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Desiderio Basaure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Manuel Moreau having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Higuerita's Vladimiro Porter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurilio Mateluna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Morichal FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jonathan Campino hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Morichal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leovigildo Bühler came free, but Maurilio Mateluna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Manuel Moreau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desiderio Basaure's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Omar Urrejola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morichal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After some careless play in the Morichal FC defense, Vladimiro Porter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurilio Mateluna. The Morichal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurilio Mateluna should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Higuerita's goal looked a bit too open when Cresenciano Martínez Lamas came free, but Jose Manuel Moreau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Cresenciano Martínez Lamas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morichal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cresenciano Martínez Lamas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Manuel Moreau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Morichal FC played a much better game than Higuerita and deserved their victory. The Higuerita players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
