An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Orostegui in the 7th minute of play forced Roque AFC's goalkeeper Ferdinando Palone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinando Palone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Alejandro Bulnes in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sagbara AFC's zone, Reynaldo Schulz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renato Cavareda came out of the goal and Reynaldo Schulz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th match minute, Sagbara AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Alejandro Bulnes to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinando Palone came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Sagbara AFC's Joel Orostegui. But to his dismay, Joel Orostegui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Sagbara AFC booed when Roque AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Ross didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Orostegui in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinando Palone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roque AFC's Ferdinando Palone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Orostegui in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Alvino Landaeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joel Orostegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Elodio Bulnes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdinando Palone was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Roque AFC's Ferrando Nebel got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 43 minutes, Naelio Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sagbara AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naelio Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roque AFC's Ferdinando Palone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Orostegui in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Sagbara AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Orostegui to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Roque AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Orostegui came free, but Ferdinando Palone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match, Elodio Bulnes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ferdinando Palone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Orostegui got free with Ferdinando Palone in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roque AFC's goalkeeper Ferdinando Palone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Schulz couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Roque AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Naelio Pena came free, but Ferdinando Palone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Roque AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Frias to maneuver through the defense. Roque AFC's Ferdinando Palone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naelio Pena in the 90th minute of play. But to his dismay, Elodio Bulnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5.
