Xaime Requena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. DEPORTIVO CALI's Victorino Mahns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save DEPORTIVO CALI from getting a goal against them. Gilesindo De Ferari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xaime Requena having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Tomás Oquendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, DEPORTIVO CALI's Bayron Sojo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xaime Requena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of DEPORTIVO CALI booed when Futalelfu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Estrada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xaime Requena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bayron Sojo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bairon Guajardo to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Bairon Guajardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Mahns was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 69 minutes into the match, Sansón Lindsay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Mahns. DEPORTIVO CALI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sansón Lindsay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The audience was convinced that Maurilio Buchanan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Mahns was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Gilesindo De Ferari charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilesindo De Ferari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilesindo De Ferari kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Maurilio Buchanan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
