If Mauro Cisneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tuna Talcahuano booed when Duao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Zubelzu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Odín Santander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuna Talcahuano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Odín Santander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lander Basualto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute, Topocho Ayarza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 34 minutes, Odín Santander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tuna Talcahuano and the Duao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Odín Santander hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Francisco Antonio Aldana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milián Viel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Mauro Cisneros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuna Talcahuano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Cisneros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milián Viel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lander Basualto in the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Duao's Francisco Antonio Aldana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milián Viel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Tuna Talcahuano defense, Topocho Ayarza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milián Viel. The Tuna Talcahuano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milián Viel should have stopped the shot. Topocho Ayarza struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Milián Viel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duao. Duao's Rollo Gavilán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Cisneros in the 73rd minute of play. After 84 minutes, Mauro Cisneros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tuna Talcahuano and the Duao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mauro Cisneros kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Milián Viel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lander Basualto in the 85th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Duao's Francisco Antonio Aldana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milián Viel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lander Basualto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuna Talcahuano's Rodolfo Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Tuna Talcahuano getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Mauro Cisneros hit a great ball. The Tuna Talcahuano fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Duao were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
