The Melosas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 8th minute, Rubén Arrau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torbjörn Skytt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 10 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Jordan came free, but Torbjörn Skytt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Skytt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubén Arrau in the 17th minute of play. Victor Magallanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martino Almeyda in the 23rd minute of the match. Bickford Waterland received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Victor Magallanes came out and tried to block the shot, but Bickford Waterland slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 25th minute. Torbjörn Skytt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubén Arrau went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Daniel Edwards hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Melosas AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Danél Pena fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Teofilio Narea's late challenge caught a Los Delfines's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilio Narea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Los Delfines booed when Melosas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilio Narea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Magallanes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bickford Waterland in the 39th minute. Torbjörn Skytt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Jordan went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Melosas AFC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bickford Waterland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Los Delfines's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Michael Jordan 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. Torbjörn Skytt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Jordan in the 59th minute of play. Rubén Arrau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Torbjörn Skytt made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Melosas AFC's Torbjörn Skytt threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michael Jordan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Torbjörn Skytt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Jordan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Michael Jordan took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Torbjörn Skytt to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Melosas AFC's Salomón Fariña slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Torbjörn Skytt. That made the score 1-7 after 74 minutes of play. Los Delfines's Torbjörn Skytt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Los Delfines from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Melosas AFC's Rubén Arrau slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Torbjörn Skytt. That made the score 1-8 after 83 minutes of play. Teofilio Narea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Torbjörn Skytt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Melosas AFC's Rubén Arrau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torbjörn Skytt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-9. Torbjörn Skytt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Jordan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Melosas AFC's Tamariz Antoine got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 97 minutes into the match, Rubén Arrau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torbjörn Skytt. Los Delfines's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubén Arrau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-10. Melosas AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
