Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Anselmo Silveira made the kick off and thus started the match. Anselmo Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgílio Cearense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Germano Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi de Andrade in the 8th minute. Davi de Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Germano Tepedino made a huge save. Carlos Alberto Marques took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Virgílio Cearense. Guloso AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Virgílio Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agnaldo Moreno went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Maurício Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Cearense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Magalhães in the 23rd minute of play forced Ubirata's goalkeeper Germano Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Ubirata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Germano Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Magalhães in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Silveira in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgílio Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlinhos Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgílio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Agnaldo Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Guloso AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Quadros to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Guloso AD's goalkeeper Virgílio Cearense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Cícero Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, José Carlos Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guloso AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ubirata the free kick. A collision led to Guloso AD getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. José Carlos Barbosa hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Germano Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi de Andrade in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Carlinhos Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute José Augusto Brodel managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Germano Tepedino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davi de Andrade went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the match, Guloso AD's goalkeeper Virgílio Cearense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luisinho Tinoco. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlinhos Magalhães in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano Tepedino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Augusto Brodel hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Guloso AD's Carlinhos Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Ubirata could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guloso AD throughout the match.
