Danilo Montrelle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Waldemar Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustão Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 14th minute, Marcelinho Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Wuppertal SV's Natanael Teles in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maguari AD's goalie prevented a goal. Natanael Teles struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. In the 45th minute, Claudinho Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldemar Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The Maguari AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wuppertal SV were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natanael Teles made a kick off. Maguari AD's Waldemar Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Maguari AD from getting a goal against them. Natanael Teles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Waldemar Luz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cido Quadros hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Waldemar Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natanael Teles's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. If Clemente Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natanael Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Luz having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Maguari AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th match minute, Wuppertal SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Montrelle to maneuver through the defense. Maguari AD's Waldemar Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Montrelle in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Quadros in the 84th minute of play forced Wuppertal SV's goalkeeper Faustão Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wuppertal SV's Faustão Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Antunes in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Maguari AD's goalkeeper Waldemar Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natanael Teles. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Natanael Teles sped through Maguari AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waldemar Luz. When the match was over Wuppertal SV could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maguari AD throughout the match.
