Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ivo Cearense took the kick off in the first half of the match. Zeca Barral came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Floreal's Reginaldo Amaral. But to his dismay, Reginaldo Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Perez in the 9th minute of play forced Floreal's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeca Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Amaral in the 10th minute of play. Zeca Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes Geraizinho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ronaldo Favoretto who took care of the corner kick. Floreal's Ronaldo Favoretto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zeca Barral in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Amauri Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Geraizinho's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Bueno came free, but Zeca Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amauri Bueno's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Zeca Barral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 24 minutes into the match, Geraizinho's goalkeeper Zeca Barral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Amaral. After a defensive mix-up in Floreal's zone, Ivo Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Vidal came out of the goal and Ivo Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geraizinho's Ivo Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Bueno in the 35th minute of play forced Geraizinho's goalkeeper Zeca Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Amauri Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Barral was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Amauri Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Reginaldo Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeca Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Bueno in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Reginaldo Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeca Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 71st minute Amauri Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amauri Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Zeca Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Barral came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Floreal's Amauri Bueno. But to his dismay, Amauri Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Amauri Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Amauri Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Floreal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
