Iuri Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Adelino Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coroata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adelino Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mazinho Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Varela in the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Oscar Sabóia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mazinho Reis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Adelino Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Adelino Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Reis was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Mazinho Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Adelino Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Chαrmosinhα Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Nóbrega came free, but Mazinho Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonsinho Ortiz was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Jean Faria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jean Faria really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 45th match minute, Coroata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Ortiz having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Faria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Augusto Tavares during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Augusto Tavares hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Jean Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Coroata's Rômulo Nóbrega sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mazinho Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rômulo Nóbrega was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rômulo Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st match minute, Chαrmosinhα Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Lira to maneuver through the defense. Adelino Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Reis having to interfere. Chαrmosinhα Sport Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rômulo Nóbrega 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Afonsinho Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Sabóia lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 75th minute, one of Coroata:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coroata. Afonsinho Ortiz had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Ismael Zonta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Afonsinho Ortiz came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Chαrmosinhα Sport Club's Ismael Zonta. But to his dismay, Ismael Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hélder Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Afonsinho Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Hélder Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Chαrmosinhα Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Moraes couldn't finish the play.
