With a little luck, EC Suga Osso's Hélder Paraibano got control of the ball when Cristiano de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Maranhense in the 8th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Sandrinho Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Alex Torres sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and EC Suga Osso's Hélder Paraibano didn't even have to move. Hélder Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Albuquerque in the 21st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Cristiano de Almeida got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 24th minute, Marmeleiro's Horácio Albuquerque dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Maranhense in the 29th minute of play forced Marmeleiro's goalkeeper Marcinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horácio Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Paraibano having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Cristóvão Cosme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marmeleiro and the EC Suga Osso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marmeleiro's Cristóvão Cosme got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Cristiano de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano de Almeida in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hélder Paraibano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Maranhense was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Luís Maranhense got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marcinho Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Maranhense in the 57th minute of the match. When Cristiano de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Marmeleiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano de Almeida couldn't finish the play. Marmeleiro's Marcinho Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Marmeleiro from getting a goal against them. If André Luís Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to EC Suga Osso getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Sandrinho Soares hit a great ball. In the 67th minute of the match Alex Torres shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hélder Paraibano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. André Luís Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Cosme was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Marmeleiro's Cristóvão Cosme got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, EC Suga Osso's Sandrinho Soares broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marcinho Simões came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Suga Osso's André Luís Neto. But to his dismay, André Luís Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Cristiano de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind EC Suga Osso's goalkeeper Hélder Paraibano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcinho Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luís Neto in the 94th minute. Luís Maranhense might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcinho Simões. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. Marmeleiro's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
