Raí de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Moraes having to interfere. Mazinho Trigo charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mazinho Trigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Corimbota AD's Cristiano da Rocha got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Celsinho Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, S.E.LAFUENTE's Vitinho Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulão Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diamantino Nascimento got free with Caco Moraes in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Evaristo de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Décio Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manoel Gaúcho during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.E.LAFUENTE's Manoel Gaúcho got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, S.E.LAFUENTE's goalkeeper Caco Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diamantino Nascimento. In the 23rd minute, Raí de Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulão Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Ademir Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the S.E.LAFUENTE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademir Jacinto couldn't finish the play. Caco Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí de Mendonça in the 31st minute of play. S.E.LAFUENTE's Fred Maciel got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Corimbota AD getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Raí de Mendonça hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corimbota AD's zone, Fred Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulão Alcântara came out of the goal and Fred Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Décio Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E.LAFUENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Décio Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ademir Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of S.E.LAFUENTE booed when Corimbota AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With a little luck, Corimbota AD's Paulão Alcântara got control of the ball when Vitinho Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raí de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Corimbota AD's Diamantino Nascimento got a free kick in the 58th minute. After having played for 59 minutes, Vitinho Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E.LAFUENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitinho Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Paulão Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corimbota AD's Paulão Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Corimbota AD from getting a goal against them. Paulão Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Vitinho Leão sent off a good shot on target. Décio Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vitinho Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ademir Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the S.E.LAFUENTE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademir Jacinto couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the game, S.E.LAFUENTE's Vitinho Leão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulão Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 83 minutes, Adhemar Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corimbota AD and the S.E.LAFUENTE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Corimbota AD got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Linhares. Caco Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Nascimento in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Fred Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E.LAFUENTE's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ademir Jacinto took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulão Alcântara. Paulão Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. S.E.LAFUENTE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
