If Marcus de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dracarys booed when TNBayer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, TNBayer's goal looked a bit too open when Luan de Souza came free, but Arlindo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus de Castro in the 35th minute of play forced TNBayer's goalkeeper Arlindo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luan de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Rosado made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind TNBayer's goalkeeper Arlindo de Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Juvenal Negri fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dracarys's protests and gave Juvenal Negri a yellow card for diving instead. 57 minutes into the game, Perivaldo de Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TNBayer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dracarys the free kick. After 57 played minutes TNBayer got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo de Senna. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Marcus de Castro took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Arlindo de Mendonça to make any attempt to save it. 60 minutes into the game, Armando Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TNBayer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dracarys the free kick. In the 65th minute, Juvenal Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Rosado was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Armando Rosado hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. TNBayer's Arlindo de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus de Castro in the 71st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Dracarys's Marcus de Castro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arlindo de Mendonça. That made the score 0-2 after 74 minutes of play. When Marcus de Castro got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Dracarys. Marcus de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Arlindo de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luan de Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Arlindo de Mendonça made a huge save. Marcus de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Arlindo de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TNBayer's Arlindo de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save TNBayer from getting a goal against them. The Dracarys supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dracarys would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
