To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Malaquias Fut Art's Adilson Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Godoi in the 41st minute of play. Malaquias Fut Art's Thomás Vinhas got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Thomás Vinhas off the ground. After a rather tough play, Malaquias Fut Art's Thomás Vinhas got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Adilson Monteiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Godoi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 57 minute of play.
