Tamoa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Malaquias Fut Art's Hermínio Bittencourt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Breno Vinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aníbal Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Miranda struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Adilson Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamoa. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermínio Bittencourt made a kick off. If Aníbal Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson Monteiro having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Tamoa's Afonso Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adilson Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Breno Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Bittencourt in the 66th minute of play. When Afonso Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Tamoa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Miranda couldn't finish the play. Aníbal Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson Monteiro having to interfere. Adilson Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aníbal Novaes's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Afonso Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
