Manfredo Siqueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Couto in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Severino Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. TMG Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfredo Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severino Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Siqueira having to interfere. Frédson Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Manfredo Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, TMG Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón da Silva came free, but José Carlos Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfredo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson Neves in the 20th minute of play. If Frédson Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The TMG Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.R.Federal were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frédson Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. Manfredo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson Neves in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Frédson Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severino Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes C.R.Federal got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Guerra. In the 65th minute of the match Zé Simões sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manfredo Siqueira skillfully saved the ball. In the 65th match minute, C.R.Federal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 68 minutes, Severino Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TMG Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frédson Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Siqueira having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, TMG Futebol Clube's Severino Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manfredo Siqueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C.R.Federal's Cléberson de Mendonça got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Manfredo Siqueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Couto went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute Severino Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match TMG Futebol Clube got a corner. C.R.Federal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Simões ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Zé Simões almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.R.Federal's Manfredo Siqueira did a great save. Manfredo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Vargas in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Frédson Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manfredo Siqueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There was no doubt that TMG Futebol Clube were the better team. TMG Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
