The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rony Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Cruz in the 10th minute of the match. Erasmo Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rony Branco made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Guedes in the 15th minute of play forced Legend F.C's goalkeeper Rony Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Branco having to interfere. Wágner Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Pontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robinho Guedes in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rony Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Peixoto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wágner Silva went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Wágner Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Machorra's Elói Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rony Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Machorra's Robinho Guedes pulled a muscle in his leg after 39 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Aloísio da Silva's late challenge caught a Machorra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aloísio da Silva helped the player get up and apologised. Aloísio da Silva hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Rony Branco made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Erasmo Cunha sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th match minute, Legend F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio da Silva to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute Machorra were awarded a corner. Oswaldo Paraibano went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Oswaldo Paraibano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rony Branco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erasmo Cunha was the one to do the kick off. In the 65th minute, Egídio Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Elói Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Machorra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elói Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rony Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Erasmo Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rony Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elói Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvério Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Peixoto having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Legend F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
