Thanks to some nice moves Tião Jacinto could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Tales Campidelis however easily saved by the left post. 6 minutes into the match, Silvério Coelho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gerinaldo's Franklin da Fonseca. Franklin da Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Almir de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Tales Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Davi Simão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baiaozinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 16th match minute, Baiaozinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Simão to maneuver through the defense. Franklin da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Faustino, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute Silvério Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Davi Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baiaozinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Davi Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franklin da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oséias Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséias Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Gerinaldo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias Vianna to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Davi Simão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franklin da Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Baiaozinho's Davi Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Gerinaldo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baiaozinho were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Baiaozinho booed when Gerinaldo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Davi Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin da Fonseca having to interfere. Tião Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jefferson Faustino kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Davi Simão struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Franklin da Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baiaozinho. In the 64th match minute, Baiaozinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Mumbach to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Gerinaldo's Tião Jacinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tales Campidelis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When Baiaozinho's Davi Simão in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gerinaldo's goalie prevented a goal. Davi Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franklin da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi Simão in the 82nd minute of play. Almir de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Davi Simão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franklin da Fonseca. That made the score 1-4 in the 89 minute of play. A collision led to Baiaozinho getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Falcão Brodel hit a great ball. Tião Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Baiaozinho's zone, Tião Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Campidelis came out of the goal and Tião Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baiaozinho played a much better game than Gerinaldo and deserved their victory. The Gerinaldo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
