In a very dangerous position, a player in Urandy FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Renato Maia walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After the first half XENA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reginaldo Teixeira to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, XENA's Renato Maia got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Emanuel Urbano hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Renato Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XENA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Frederico Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Pedro Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Váldson Teixeira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of João Pedro Vides when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Urandy FC's João Pedro Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Teixeira in the 78th minute of play. João Pedro Vides made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Magno do Vale sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magno do Vale got free with João Pedro Vides in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 87 minutes, Frederico Zanette mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urandy FC and the XENA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Urandy FC's Frederico Zanette got a free kick in the 88th minute. João Pedro Vides acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Renato Maia. The supporters of Urandy FC booed when XENA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magno do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but João Pedro Vides made a huge save. The Urandy FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. XENA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
