Maurício Meirelles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Luís Guilherme Mangueira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Maurício Meirelles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ametista EC's Luís Guilherme Mangueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ametista EC from getting a goal against them. Luís Guilherme Mangueira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurício Meirelles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Claudinho Motta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Juan Coutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Jardim Lenize's zone, Claudinho Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Coutinho came out of the goal and Claudinho Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, Ametista EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Luís Guilherme Mangueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davi Porto went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Freddie Krueger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Maurício Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Coutinho came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ametista EC's Júlio Damião. But to his dismay, Júlio Damião quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddie Krueger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Guilherme Mangueira. That made the score 4-2 in the 46 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurício Meirelles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Gilson Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ametista EC's Bebeto Jacinto tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dino de Toledo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Jardim Lenize's Júlio Salgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Guilherme Mangueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudinho Motta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Coutinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudinho Motta slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Freddie Krueger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Guilherme Mangueira. Ametista EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Freddie Krueger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. In the 78th minute, Claudinho Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Afonso Alcântara took a quick shot and it went in 5-4 without a chance for Juan Coutinho to make any attempt to save it. After 85 minutes of play, Jardim Lenize's Júlio Salgado made it 6-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Guilherme Mangueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Guilherme Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Maurício Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Luís Guilherme Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Motta in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jardim Lenize fully deserved thier win.
