Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luizão Vale took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Bugi SS's Arnaldo da Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Serginho Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Serginho Secco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abelardo Teixeira. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 11th minute, Caetano Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardinho Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Abelardo Teixeira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Serginho Secco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 15 minute of play. Serginho Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Abelardo Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Paraense charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Paraense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bugi SS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Adolfo Paraense hit a great ball. Caio Furtado, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ricardinho Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes, Santos's Charles Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardinho Monteiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santos reached it. Wilson Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Serginho Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardinho Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serginho Secco was the one to do the kick off. Luizão Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santos's Abelardo Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Secco in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bugi SS's goalkeeper Ricardinho Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Luizão Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Secco in the 69th minute of play forced Santos's goalkeeper Abelardo Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Serginho Secco put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abelardo Teixeira. In the 87th match minute, Bugi SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Santos to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho Secco in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Santos's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo da Silveira came free, but Abelardo Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi Pontes's late challenge caught a Bugi SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Pontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute Serginho Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bugi SS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Santos for a fine match.
