Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Almir Rodrigues started the match with the kick off. Doni Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Mocidade's Teodoro Ferreira got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Pavucu's César Mattos in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mocidade's goalie prevented a goal. Doni Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto do Nascimento in the 18th minute of play. Carlos Augusto do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Doni Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Celso Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mocidade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silas Neiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celso Bueno went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Teodoro Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th match minute, Mocidade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto do Nascimento in the 37th minute of play forced Mocidade's goalkeeper Doni Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Almir Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pavucu's goalkeeper Silas Neiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Augusto do Nascimento made a kick off. Celso Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Augusto do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Doni Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto do Nascimento in the 61st minute of play. Doni Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Augusto do Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Silas Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Rodrigues in the 67th minute of the match. Doni Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by César Mattos in the 71st minute. Donato de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Silas Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Rodrigues in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, one of Pavucu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Mocidade a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ricardinho Faria, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pavucu's Silas Neiva. 2-1. Pavucu's Silas Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Rodrigues in the 87th minute of play. Almir Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Pavucu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Almir Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Mocidade got a freekick which was hit by Almir Rodrigues. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Vítor Prado during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, one of Pavucu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pavucu. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Mocidade. Ricardinho Faria stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Silas Neiva. 3-1. Mocidade's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
