This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Betinho Passos as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Renatinho Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Vitório Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Trigo in the 29th minute of play. Betinho Passos made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Betão Madureira sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute, Luiz Eduardo Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Félix in the 40th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Betinho Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruninho Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Andrade having to interfere.
