Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Diamantino Veloso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmond Stessel in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arlindo de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Matheus Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Itapevy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Velloso couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Edmond Stessel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo de Amaral. Arvoredos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmond Stessel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Itapevy's Matheus Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matheus Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo de Amaral having to interfere. Diamantino Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Itapevy's Edmond Stessel got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matheus Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Arlindo de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Arvoredos's Diamantino Veloso threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kléber de Souza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Diamantino Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber de Souza in the 43rd minute of the match. Nildo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Arlindo de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Arvoredos's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Velloso came free, but Arlindo de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Itapevy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Arlindo de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmond Stessel's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Stessel in the 61st minute of play forced Arvoredos's goalkeeper Arlindo de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Matheus Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Arvoredos's Ernani de Salles got a free kick in the 64th minute. A hard shot 70 in the game by Matheus Velloso from a close distance when the talented Arlindo de Amaral managed to make a qualified save. Arvoredos's players were relieved. Arlindo de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th match minute, Arvoredos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Queirós to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Marquez in the 80th minute of play forced Itapevy's goalkeeper Diamantino Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Itapevy's Matheus Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
