Itapevy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaltino Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Matheus Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmond Stessel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Esteves having to interfere. Isaltino Correia hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Isaltino Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Veloso came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Canicora SS's Isaltino Correia. But to his dismay, Isaltino Correia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Matheus Carvalho hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Canicora SS's Carlos Alberto Barral in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itapevy's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Canicora SS's José Matos got a free kick in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Edmond Stessel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nico Esteves, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matheus Velloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacek Chazon's late challenge caught a Canicora SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacek Chazon helped the player get up and apologised. Jacek Chazon hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Itapevy's zone, Cássio Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Veloso came out of the goal and Cássio Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th match minute, Canicora SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Matos to maneuver through the defense. Diamantino Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute of the match, Isaltino Correia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Diamantino Veloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cássio Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Matheus Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Esteves having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Itapevy's Wellington Lopez got a free kick in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Canicora SS defense, Edmond Stessel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nico Esteves. The Canicora SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nico Esteves should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaltino Correia in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wellington Lopez hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Carlos Alberto Barral scored 2-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino Veloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Itapevy's Diamantino Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Itapevy from getting a goal against them. During the 98th minute of the match Isaltino Correia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Isaltino Correia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Canicora SS getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Isaltino Correia hit a great ball. Chants of Canicora SS echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Itapevy had held the ball for most of the match.
