Frank Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fiori França. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luizão Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Vianna having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Ferreira in the 10th minute of play forced Geary FC's goalkeeper Celso Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiori França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Freire in the 32nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Marco Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luizão Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Geary FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodriguinho Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the referee ended the match the Suinauma players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
