Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Cabra SS's Rodolfo do Vale started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adolfo Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agenor Teles in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Arruda saved Cabra SS from getting behind. Adolfo Pimenta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Cabra SS booed when Várzea Memo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Arruda having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Pimenta in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Arruda saved Cabra SS from getting behind. When Várzea Memo's Agenor Teles in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cabra SS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15th minute, José Augusto Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Fábio Corrêa took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Arruda. Ismael Arruda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 20th minute, Rodolfo do Vale reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luciano Vianna. The goal made the score 1-1. Agenor Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ismael Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Várzea Memo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Rodolfo do Vale scored to the left of an out of position Luciano Vianna, making the score, 2-1. Várzea Memo's Adolfo Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Adolfo Pimenta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cabra SS's Ismael Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adolfo Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Arruda having to interfere. If Agenor Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Mota in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 48th minute Agenor Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agenor Teles was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Ismael Arruda managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Várzea Memo's Adolfo Pimenta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Agenor Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Arruda acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Clemente Gaúcho. Ismael Arruda had great luck who in the 58thth minute grab hold of the ball when Amadeu Alcântara from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ismael Arruda was a little too slow when Agenor Teles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 2-2. Luiz Fábio Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Agenor Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Várzea Memo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agenor Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agenor Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Arruda having to interfere. Ismael Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agenor Teles in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agenor Teles in the 88th minute of play forced Cabra SS's goalkeeper Ismael Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The goalkeeper, Ismael Arruda, was totally fooled by Várzea Memo's Diego Ferreira, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
