The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Salgado in the 3rd minute of play forced EC Pá Pinga's goalkeeper Felipe Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felipe Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, EC Pá Pinga's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Veloso came free, but Felipe Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Gilson Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defenestrados fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 31 minutes into the match, EC Pá Pinga's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Veloso came free, but Felipe Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes, Willian Pirani made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. EC Pá Pinga's Felipe Massa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in EC Pá Pinga's zone, Willian Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Massa came out of the goal and Willian Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Defenestrados were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Umberto da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Felipe Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Veloso in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, EC Pá Pinga's Felipe Massa got control of the ball when Willian Pirani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Willian Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Massa having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Gilson Veloso took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Felipe Massa to make any attempt to save it. Gilson Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Willian Pirani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Felipe Massa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 94th minute, EC Pá Pinga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Willian Pirani fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Defenestrados's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
