Wilson Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Waldir Mota, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 17 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Wilson Gaspar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Waldir Mota came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Red Bull F.S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Mota couldn't finish the play. If Waldir Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes, Waldir Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Bull F.S.C. and the Moleque Travesso players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Red Bull F.S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Mota. In the 27th minute Waldir Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Diogo Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Moleque Travesso's zone, José Maria Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Gaspar came out of the goal and José Maria Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Waldir Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Mota in the 43rd minute of play forced Moleque Travesso's goalkeeper Wilson Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Benedito Cearense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moleque Travesso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Bull F.S.C. the free kick. In the 67thth minute of the game Waldir Mota who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moleque Travesso's Wilson Gaspar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Allan Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Wilson Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moleque Travesso's goalkeeper Wilson Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Red Bull F.S.C.'s Waldir Mota in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Red Bull F.S.C. were the better team. Red Bull F.S.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
