The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Doni Leal put in a rough tackle. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Afligidos! 12 minutes into the match, Afligidos's goalkeeper Wanderson Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlinhos Vidal. When Fiori Negri came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Afligidos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori Negri couldn't finish the play. Afligidos's Wanderson Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Domingues in the 18th minute of play. Fiori Negri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Gaspar having to make a save. Wanderson Miranda acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gil Senna. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Fiori Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Afligidos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fiori Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fiori Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Fiori Negri made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Gaspar. Moleque Travesso's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fiori Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Joélson Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Afligidos's supporters rose to their feet, but Joélson Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Carlinhos Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the game, Nilmar Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Afligidos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moleque Travesso the free kick. A collision led to Afligidos getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Nilmar Ramos hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fiori Negri made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Vidal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Wanderson Miranda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Carlinhos Vidal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wanderson Miranda was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Fiori Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Afligidos getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Zé Carlos Matorin hit a great ball. Fiori Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Gaspar having to interfere. Wanderson Miranda came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Moleque Travesso's Giuseppe Neiva. But to his dismay, Giuseppe Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Fiori Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Moleque Travesso's goalkeeper Wilson Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Carlos Matorin. Diogo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Carlos Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Wilson Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Moleque Travesso support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
