An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Messias in the 3rd minute of play forced Sport Clube Panteras's goalkeeper Fabinho Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Panteras's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Cavalcante came free, but Fabinho Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabinho Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Elias Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabinho Quadros. Sport Clube Panteras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fabinho Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sport Clube Panteras's Fabinho Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Cavalcante in the 21st minute of play. Fabinho Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Cavalcante in the 23rd minute of the match. After 25 minutes of play, Serrania's Afonsinho Araújo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabinho Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Pinheiro in the 29th minute of play forced Sport Clube Panteras's goalkeeper Fabinho Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sport Clube Panteras's Fabinho Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Pinheiro in the 30th minute of play. Olívio Antunes came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Clube Panteras's Zé Carlos Trevisan. But to his dismay, Zé Carlos Trevisan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Araújo in the 36th minute of play forced Sport Clube Panteras's goalkeeper Fabinho Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredinho Moura took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabinho Quadros. Fabinho Quadros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Messias in the 42nd minute of play forced Sport Clube Panteras's goalkeeper Fabinho Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sport Clube Panteras getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Válter Eger hit a great ball. When Elias Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serrania's protests and gave Elias Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Carlos Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Antunes having to interfere. Sport Clube Panteras's Válter Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sport Clube Panteras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Serrania were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Carlos Trevisan to make the kick off. Oswaldo Pinheiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fabinho Quadros could save by the left post. 56 minutes into the game, Serrania's Almir Messias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabinho Quadros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Sport Clube Panteras's Fabinho Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Sport Clube Panteras from getting a goal against them. Fabinho Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Messias in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Caco Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Clube Panteras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serrania the free kick. Elias Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Fabinho Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serrania. 66 minutes into the game, Almir Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serrania's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Clube Panteras the free kick. A collision led to Sport Clube Panteras getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Caco Vaz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Almir Messias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabinho Quadros. That made the score 1-5 in the 71 minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Panteras's goalkeeper Fabinho Quadros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elias Cavalcante. 76 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Panteras's goal looked a bit too open when Afonsinho Araújo came free, but Fabinho Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabinho Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Messias in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Sport Clube Panteras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Eger to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Trevisan in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sport Clube Panteras defense, Elias Cavalcante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabinho Quadros. The Sport Clube Panteras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabinho Quadros should have stopped the shot. Válter Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Antunes having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Serrania left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sport Clube Panteras.
