Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's Tony Figueiredo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 8th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sydney Macedo was a little too slow when Tony Figueiredo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. 19 minutes into the game, Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's Luís Eduardo Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sydney Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Eduardo Pernambucano got free with Sydney Macedo in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's Olívio de Sena shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sydney Macedo but with some difficulty. 27 minutes into the match, Ediberto França dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sydney Macedo, 4-0. Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's Hernani Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Adilson Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Tony Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tony Figueiredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sydney Macedo was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th minute, Tibirica AD's Franklin da Silveira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Franklin da Silveira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tibirica AD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Franklin da Silveira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Mashoutsukai Sport Klub booed when Tibirica AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's Tony Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a little luck, Tibirica AD's Sydney Macedo got control of the ball when Tony Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hernani Neves hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Mashoutsukai Sport Klub got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto França. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Augusto Capixaba made a kick off. Tibirica AD's Sydney Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto França in the 52nd minute of play. Sydney Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Figueiredo scored 7-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sydney Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hernani Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. João Augusto Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Joel Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tibirica AD. If João Augusto Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's zone, Paulinho Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Alves came out of the goal and Paulinho Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Figueiredo in the 96th minute of play. Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
