Leopoldo da Silva was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Leonardo Mangueira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leopoldo da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Senna in the 30th minute of the match. Leopoldo da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Leopoldo da Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Isaio in the 38th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidoro Isaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Irapiranga's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Isaio came free, but Leopoldo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Isaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Irapiranga's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Isaio came free, but Leopoldo da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Isidoro Isaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Isidoro Isaio notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Irapiranga's Leopoldo da Silva. Leopoldo da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isidoro Isaio struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Leopoldo da Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Duda Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isidoro Isaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baluarte SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
