The Augustus Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olgierd Klimkiewicz should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the game, Augustus Futebol Clube's Olívio Madureira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Adolfo Lara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Tiaguinho Proença had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olgierd Klimkiewicz. Augustus Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiaguinho Proença was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of tpR-s booed when Augustus Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Severino do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olgierd Klimkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Madureira's late challenge caught a tpR-s's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olívio Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Augustus Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Olívio Madureira hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Augustus Futebol Clube's João Adolfo Lara threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ernesto Arantes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olgierd Klimkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Tiaguinho Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olgierd Klimkiewicz having to interfere. After the first half tpR-s were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiaguinho Proença to make the kick off. If Tiaguinho Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th match minute, tpR-s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to tpR-s getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Anísio Messias hit a great ball. The throw-in from Bernardo Damião in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by tpR-s's Ciro Prata. Tiaguinho Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olgierd Klimkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Proença in the 86th minute of play. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Bernardo Damião with Olívio Madureira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Severino do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Olgierd Klimkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Damião got a throw-in 93 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Olívio Madureira. When the final whistle sounded tpR-s left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Augustus Futebol Clube.
