Mucurepe FC's Bruno Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Abraão in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Britto in the 40th minute of play forced Curaja's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Abraão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Secco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Jailson de Sena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Luís Fábio Paranaense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruy Abraão made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Mucurepe FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Arósio. The audience was convinced that David Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Fábio Paranaense was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 60th minute of the match, Jailson de Sena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luís Fábio Paranaense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
